LAST FUSEBOX UNTIL SEPTEMBER…Terrific Fusebox double bill before our first series of gigs at the Fox and Newt takes a summer break…back in September. Both bands have recent CD releases and this gig is effectively the Leeds album launch for both bands…might even be a bit of a Battle of the Bands edge too as well! Bring plenty of spare cash and take the music home with you on CD.

Chris Bussey – Drums Christophe de Bezenac – Alto Sax/ Electronics Chris Sharkey – Electric Guitar

“…A truly mesmerising band, go and see them as soon as you can.” JAZZWISE ”
…earth-shattering, taking a sledgehammer to preconceived limitations of jazz…” – TIME OUT”
…this band’s edgy humour, dark near-Satanic thrashing and disdainful virtuosity is both vivid and refreshing…bursting with barely contained passion…an explosive performance…expect further sightings of Marshall amps in jazz clubs near you.” – JAZZWISE ”
The terrific Leeds-based trioVD followed up with an equally ferocious display, this time a fast, tight and awesomely expert conjunction of spiky high-energy compositions, uninhibited sax and guitar improv and machine-gun drumming” John Fordham – London Jazz Festival Review, The Guardian

ROLLER TRIO

Roller Trio mix epic rock-edged riffs, angular sax explorations, brooding beats and haunting dub-step style electronics all shot through with heady improvisation.
