Bitch ‘n’ Monk

Heidi Heidelberg and Mauricio Velasierra are Bitch ‘n’ Monk.

“In the intriguing Anglo- Colombian duo Heidi plays guitar, sings and beatboxes and Mauricio plays assorted flutes. The two transform their sound into junkyard electronica through the ingenious use of looping pedals. You’ll spend a while pondering how to classify them. Prog folk? Operatic post-punk? Gothic reggae? But they know how to write melodies” The Guardian.
Their influences are said to range from Prokofiev to Wayne Shorter, layed down with West African Rhythms.
‘Exquisite. A kaleidoscope of musical forms.’ BBC Radio3
‘One bite of this will send you into a lovesick coma and give you an electrifying kiss of life all at once.’ The Quietus

Dave Kane’s Rabbit Project

Dave Kane

Dave Kane

Dave Kane – bass/compositions, Chris Sharkey – Guitar, Matt Bourne – Synths, Joost Hendrickxs – drums

A rare treat and exclusive. The new style ‘Rabbit Project’ – a new lineup and the stylistic quality of the music has changed too.  It is now a completely electric band, so expect intricate compositions, wonky grooves and electronic improvisations from the new Leeds Supergroup.
